Pawppy helps dog owners create dog profiles, browse compatible dog matches, chat with other owners, and schedule dog meetups. This policy explains what information Pawppy collects, how it is used, and the choices users have.
Information We Collect
Account information
- Apple Sign In identifier
- Email address, if provided by Apple Sign In
- First name or display name, if provided or entered
Dog and owner profile information
- Dog name, birthday or age, size, energy level, comfort levels, temperament tags, vaccination status, profile text, and photos
- Owner bio, neighborhood, and profile photo if provided
App activity and communications
- Discovery, match, chat, meetup, block, report, and account deletion records
- Messages sent through Pawppy
- Meetup details such as date, time, and location name
Location information
- Neighborhood or approximate location used for matching
- Pawppy is intended to avoid exposing exact home addresses in discovery
Device and diagnostics
- Push notification token, if notifications are enabled
- Crash reports and diagnostics when they are collected by the app or platform tooling
How We Use Information
Pawppy uses information to create and manage accounts, show dog profiles in discovery, match users based on dog profile details and neighborhood, enable chat and meetup scheduling, support moderation and safety enforcement, troubleshoot bugs, prevent abuse, and provide account deletion and restore flows.
Sharing
Pawppy does not sell personal information. User profile and dog profile details may be visible to other Pawppy users according to how Pawppy displays profiles, matches, chats, and meetups. Service providers such as Supabase, Expo, Apple, and hosting or diagnostics providers may process data to operate, secure, and improve the app.
User Content and Communications
Users are responsible for the profile text, photos, messages, and meetup details they add to Pawppy. Pawppy may review reports and related content to enforce community standards and respond to safety issues.
Account Deletion
Users can schedule account deletion in the app. When deletion is scheduled, the user's profile and dog listing are hidden immediately, scheduled meetups are cancelled, and the user has a 30-day restore window. After the grace period, Pawppy deletes or anonymizes account data according to its retention process, except where retention is required for legal, security, abuse-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Data Retention
Pawppy keeps information as long as needed to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce safety rules, and maintain abuse-prevention records.
Children's Privacy
Pawppy is not intended for children. Users must be old enough to use Pawppy under applicable law and the app store age rating.
Safety
Dog meetups involve real-world risk. Pawppy provides tools for structured introductions, reporting, and blocking, but users are responsible for supervising their dogs and choosing safe meetup conditions.
